Norfolk event urges Christians to campaign

AndreaWilliamsA day conference to equip Christians to recognise and engage with the challenges facing our nation is to be held in King’s Lynn on 19 November.

Respect for the Christian faith is being increasingly eroded especially around issues such as marriage and families, respect for life and religious freedom.
The
aim of the ‘Awake, Arise’ conference is to gather Christians together, give an overview of the ‘state of the nation’ and to show how to engage with society robustly and relevantly at both the national and local level.
The conference will equip people with the tools they need to respond with the love and truth of Jesus Christ.

Speakers include Andrea Minichiello Williams [pictured above] who is director of Christian Concern and the Christian legal centre.  A Barrister by background, Andrea has for more than a decade been at the forefront of speaking of Jesus Christ and the values that flow from Him, in the context of the courts, the media and parliament.

Sam Solomon is an expert on Islamic law, having been converted from a Muslim background, he has advised government officials in the UK, Europe and the US and authored several books on related subjects.

Alan Craig is leader of the Christian People’s Alliance and has been active as a local campaigner for many years.
The event is being organised by Networking Together in partnership with Christian Concern.
