Norwich Christian auctions art for church funds
Norfolk Christian artist Stella Noons is holding a special exhibition and auction of her artwork to raise money for the community work of St Edmund's Church, Taverham.
The exhibiting artist is Stella Noons, former children's adviser in Norwich Diocese. Stella began painting when she first came to Norfok about 15 years ago.
Stella pictures can be viewed at the Community Cafe at Hinks Meadow, Thorpe Marriott between the hours of 10am and 4pm from Wednesday 9th November to Friday 11 November. If you would like to make a bid for a picture there and then, envelopes will be available in which to place your bid.
The actual Auction will be on Saturday 12 November from 7.30pm. Entrance is by donations and drinks and nibbles will be provided. At approximately 9.00pm. envelopes will be opened and bids revealed. If you discover you were outbid then you will have opportunity to 'up your bid' should you wish.
All proceeds taken will be given to St Edmund's Church, Taverham to help forward its work of mission in the community.
Stella said, "I decided to hold the art auction to raise some money for St Edmund's, Taverham. It seemed a shame to have so many pictures stored in my home when they might give more people pleasure and also bring in some funds."
