Norfolk churches needed for record attempt
Norfolk churches are being urged to join Christians up and down the country on 18th December in an attempt to smash the current World Record for the largest number of people singing carols together across multiple locations.
The record attempt is being organised by Premier Christian Media who need 15,000 people to join in for 15-mins of carolling, to include Silent Night, O Come All Ye Faithful , O little Town of Bethlehem, Away in a Manger and Hark the Herald Angels Sing. But before they can get 15,000 people taking part they need churches to get involved.
In essence, all a church needs to do is commit to be open at 7pm on Sundau 18 December, have musicians or recorded music lead the singing, provide the carols sheets which will be supplied by BibleLands, have nominated witnesses to confirm the attempt and send back some substantiating evidence.
This attempt is a wonderful way to create an easy environment to invite non-churched people take part. It is also a great way of raising the profile of any regular church or carol service you would ordinarily hold on that night, as the attempt can be a part of that event.
Premier Christian Media will also be heavily promoting the Record Attempt and will list your venue as a place for people to go to take part. Our hope is that you will see new people in your church as a result of this attempt.
