Events of interest to the Norfolk Christian community include an evening with Eddie Lyle of Open Doors who will focus on the persecuted church, Jesus the Jew event with Rabbi Danny Rich and Norfolk Keyboard Orchestra at All Saints'.

Eddie LyleCall to Prayer will be hosting an evening with Eddie Lyle, Chief Executive of Open Doors, who will be giving an update on current worldwide events in countries where Christians are persecuted and martyred for their faith.

Open Doors began as a one-man operation when Brother Andrew (author of God’s Smuggler, now in his 80s) started taking Bibles behind the Iron Curtain. Working in over 50 high-risk countries, Open Doors goes where most Western Christians dare not go, to equip and encourage Christians who are suffering for their faith.

Norfolk Keyboard OrchestraNorfolk Keyboard Orchestra comes to All Saints’ Centre, Norwich on
Saturday 10th December 10am – 1pm.

Normally renowned for its tranquil atmosphere and its lack of music, with the exception of an occasional live performer, All Saints’ Centre, Westlegate, is welcoming a group of young performers into its midst who will bring a new brand of music to the city.

The Norfolk Keyboard Orchestra is a Norfolk Music Service ensemble, consisting of 26 members. All are pupils in Norfolk schools, with an age range from  9 to 16.

The electronic keyboards are amplified and linked to a mixing desk, and the group often performs with singers, live drums and other instruments. The versatility of the keyboard, and the imaginative arrangements of the music create an exciting and unusual sound. We know of no other keyboard orchestra in the country of this size, and with such a range of age and abilities.

You are invited to take a break from your Christmas shopping to relax in the comfortable coffee bar and listen to this unique sound!
