YMCA Norfolk needs volunteer minibus driver
YMCA Norfolk is a local Christian faith-based charity seeking to make a difference to young people’s lives through housing, youth work and health and well being activities. Our mission is to transform young lives.
Role: Volunteer minibus driver
Location: Norwich
Opportunity
The provision of health and well-being activities is expanding and YMCA Norfolk are looking for a volunteer mini-bus driver to help with transportation to and from sessions as well as the opportunity to support the young people by joining in with some of the activities if desired!
The opportunity could typically include driving for 1 or 2 activities per week such as a canoe trip or playing sports.
Role Requirements
· Full UK driving licence acquired before 1st Jan 1997
OR
· Full UK driving license held for 2 years
· Be over 25 years (if aged over 70 years of age you will need to make a specialcapplication to the DVLA and meet higher medical standards)
The volunteer will need to be available during the day time and some occasional evenings but hours will be flexible and dependent upon activities planned.
Volunteers must be willing to undergo a Criminal Record Bureau Check
Personal Requirements
· Confident in driving a mini-bus
· Interested in working with young people aged 16 – 21 years
· Reliable, friendly and adaptable
