Norfolk brotherhood concert raises hundreds
A Norfolk branch of the faith-based Catenian Association has organized a charity Christmas concert at Blofield which raised hundreds of pounds for two deserving causes.
On Sunday December 18 the Norwich Circle of the Catenian Association, hosted their annual Christmas concert raising a total of £650 for their two nominated charities, the St.Vincent De Paul Society and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
The concert treated an audience of around 70 people to a festive mix of poetry and carols in a converted barn near Blofield, the home of local Association member, Tony Baker. Gerry Batty, head of Hellesdon High School, provided the musical accompaniment, assisted by his son, Michael, a student at Notre Dame High School (both pictured).
The Norwich Circle of the Catenian Association is a local branch of an international brotherhood, providing practising Catholic laymen and their families with friendship, social activities and support.
