New year faith declarations at Norwich church

WRBC baptismWitard Road Baptist Church got the New Year off to a good start with the baptism of three young men on Sunday 1 January 2012.

The service included worship and testimony before members and friends gathered to witness the baptism by total immersion of Shane Picketts, Josh Ralph and Dave Carter.

Pastor David Adams, (on the left of the picture) assisted by Matthew Field, conducted the baptisms by total immersion. All three young men had requested baptism following their acceptance of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Public confession of their faith by the giving of personal testimony, was made immediately before the baptisms took place.

This was the second time that the baptistry had been opened in the new worship centre since its completion and occupation in 2010, and there was a full congregation, including family and friends of the candidates, to witness the baptisms.

Roy Williams, a member of the Leadership Team said "This was a great family occasion and it was lovely to see young men expressing their faith so confidently in public".
