Gospel vocal workshop set for Norwich
 A gospel vocal workshop with Christian singer songwriter Geraldine Latty will be held in Norwich on Saturday 25 February.
The event is being hosted by Catton Community Choir, joint winners of the BBC Radio Norfolk Choir of the Year 2011 Competition).
It is set to be a fun filled afternoon where people can come together, have some fun - no matter what their ability - and learn some new songs and pick up some vocal techniques along the way.
The event will take place at The Hub, Catton Grove Primary School, Weston Road, Norwich from 2 – 5pm on Saturday 25th February 2012.
The afternoon is open to anyone – no vocal experience is necessary. Geraldine will be teaching some songs as well as giving vocal tips and teaching techniques.
About Geraldine Latty
Geraldine was born in Crewe, Cheshire to West Indian parents, George and Loleta Latty.
Steeped in the Pentecostal tradition, Geraldine has also spent a number of years being a part of the Methodist church.
She completed her music degree and qualified as a secondary school teacher, working for twelve years at a Catholic School in Bristol.
In 2000 she left teaching to ‘see what God wanted to do with her time’ and has found that invitations, opportunities to serve have continued and grown.
Whether it is giving vocal coaching to teenage mums or heading up the music teams in church at Cairns Rd, running a community gospel choir, or leading worship at national conferences – the passion of her heart is to be one who knows she is pursued and loved by God, and to shout out loud that as God loves her so God loves and welcomes everyone. Everyone.
Her musical outpourings and creativity, involvement and leadership serve to see that dream realised.
