Christian Youth Festival sets up camp near Dereham
A Mid Norfolk church has teamed up with the Christian youth organisation Urban Saints (formerly Crusaders) to host an exciting four day festival for young people in School Year 6 and upwards.
folYOUTH, part of Fountain of Life Church in Ashill, and Urban Saints are inviting youth groups to set up camp at the Intents Youth Festival.
Taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend of Friday 1st – Monday 4th June, it is expected that up to 120 young people will come together to camp out on a farm in Brandon Parva, near East Dereham.
The weekend will include a mix of teaching, workshops, games, water fights and loud music. Speakers include Matt Somerfield, National Director of Urban Saints, with worship provided by musicians from the Christian music training college, Nexus Music Academy.
Adam Jackson, a youth worker for the Fountain of Life Church, says: “This is a project that God has blessed fantastically over the past few years. It’s something a bit unique in East Anglia because it’s a camp in the spring, has Charismatic Anglican roots, like Soul Survivor, and is really affordable.
“People come from all walks of life and from around the country to hang out with friends and God in a field!”
The festival is designed to enable youth leaders to bring their youth group. The cost is £35 per young person, with a discounted rate of £30 for those booking before 29th February. Groups have to bring their own tents but the cost covers catering for the weekend. There are limited spaces, so you are encouraged to book soon. Bookings can be made online at www.intents.org.uk where further information about the event can be found. |
