Robert is ready to make city rock

By Kevin Gotts

Robert Green2005: Christian rock music is back, alive and well in Norwich in the form of Robert Green, former guitarist with well-known Christian rock bands such as Leviticus and Crucifer.

With influences such as Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Genesis and Giant, the instigator of this rock revival writes, plays and chooses lyrics that come from his own Christian experience.

Robert Green, now in his mid thirties and the former member of several top Christian rock bands has returned to Norwich and set up the On Loan Music Company.

Budding musicians would be in awe of playing with bands such as Force 3, Leviticus, Seventh Angel and Crucifer. Robert remains cool on his achievements and has devoted much of his time back in Norwich working on his album Che Sara Sara (whatever will be).
The album includes tracks such as Eternity Vibe, Come Together Within The Son and Rip It Up (And Start Again).

Robert explains: "This album is there for all to enjoy, not to offend any church or ideology, but to help people understand there is a way out for people to start again by giving up bad for good."

Robert's church, the Grace Christian Fellowship in Norwich's Mile Cross, is utilising his skills in producing a worship CD.

Sitting drinking a coffee, surrounded by stacks of vinyl, CDs, instruments and recording equipment, Robert explains his vision: "It is to turn On Loan into a record company, but I need other Christian musicians, whether they are punk, ska, metal or funk to come together under one flag, eventually to work full time in music and to preach the name of Jesus."

Meanwhile Robert is keen for churches to book him for gigs so that more people can be invited to enjoy his music and hear his "straight talking" Christian message.

For further information including purchase of the CD, call Robert on 01603 491250 or mobile 07913 146716.
