Future of Norwich Christian centre more secure

StMichaelAtPleaChurchFollowing an appeal to the Norfolk Christian community, the business future of the Norwich Christian Resource Centre and Forget-me-not-Cafe now looks reasonably secure due to a number of factors over the past few weeks.

Centre Manager Steve Foyster reports on the reasons why NCRC can look towards a brighter future.

Great support from landlords Norwich Historic Churches Trust.

A terrific response from customers both in prayer and spending meaning that the centre met its turnover target for March and April so far.

Very generous donations from individuals and church organisations, plus a grant from Geoffrey Watling Charity for a new dishwasher for the cafe.

Slightly reduced opening hours - shop 9.00 to 5.00 and cafe 10.00 to 3.30 - Monday - Saturday meaning a comparative pay cut for all staff and savings on heating and lighting.

Literally thousands of donated second hand books - more still gratefully received!

At least seven people willing to take part in the three mile April Amble along the riverside walk and through Norwich city centre on Sunday 29th at 3pm and be sponsored on the charity's behalf. Lora Steggles, one of the centre's employees is still welcoming sponsorship. Click here to download a sponsorship form for the walk.

Five orders for multiple copies of hymn books and bibles worth £2,500 with customers receiving good discounts

So thanks a million, but the centre still needs the support of both church organisations and individuals to prevent the situation deteriorating again. So please continue to contact to contact NCRC first for all your needs and spread the word to those who are still unaware of the centre's existence!
