In a cell attached to the church of St Julian (now a shrine), Lady Julian of Norwich put into writing the Revelations or Showings of Divine Love she received in 1373.
The Julian Centre next to the Shrine is run by The Friends. It is open from 11 until 4 on weekdays (3pm during the winter months) and extends a warm welcome to all pilgrims and visitors.
The bookshop in the Centre stocks all current editions of The Revelations of Divine Love and all books about Julian currently in print.
The Julian Library at the Centre aims to carry everything written about Julian in any language, including unpublished doctoral theses. .
Mass is said daily either at the Julian Shrine or at St John's, Timberhill, just around the corner, and under the same management.
