YMCA Norfolk Easter egg message appeal 

YMCA Norfolk is appealing to the Norfolk Christian community to back its desire to give all of its 260 young residents a Real Easter Egg, to help them explore the real meaning of Easter.

YMCA Norfolk chief executive, Tim Sweeting, said: “When we conducted a Christmas workshop last year we were surprised how little young people knew about the Christmas story and why it is celebrated. As a result we want to give them this opportunity to learn more about why we celebrate Easter.

“To make this possible we would very much like local churches and individuals to partner with us to cover the £4 cost of each egg,” said Tim.

“Donating just £4 via our Virgin MoneyGiving page or via Text Giving will give one young person the opportunity to read and discover the Easter story for themselves.”

The Real Easter Egg is made from Fairtrade chocolate and includes literature to explain the Christian understanding of Easter. It is now in its fourth year of production with more than 400,000 sold so far.
