Non-stop prayer in the Tas Valley

2006: NewtonFlotmanChurchWebThe idea of praying for 24 hours a day non-stop, which started by accident, has even reached the villages of the Tas Valley south of Norwich.

24-7 Prayer started “by accident” in Sept 1999 with a bunch of young people on the south coast of England who got the crazy idea of trying to pray non-stop for a month. God turned up and they couldn’t stop til Christmas!

From there, this prayer movement has spread into many countries, denominations and age groups... and now it has even reached the villages of the Tas Valley - Newton Flotman, Swainsthorpe, Tasburgh, Tharston, Saxlingham and Shotesham.

From 27 May -3 June we will be praying 24 hours a day in a dedicated prayer room.   The room is equipped with lots of aids to prayer – so you can light candles, listen to meditative music, paint on the prayer art board, follow a labyrinth, enter your prayer requests in a book etc.

Being in a room dedicated to prayer like this is often a very moving experience – and people who usually find prayer difficult, often find that an hour passes like 10 minutes in a warm, quiet space set aside for prayer like this.

To sign up for an hour long slot in the prayer room and to receive details of how to get there, please contact Vicky Ball vicky@tasvalley.org or Sally Gaze 01508 470762  sally@tasvalley.org
