Norfolk Christian bikers hit the road

CMAMay2006BMFWebChristian bikers in Norfolk have been out and about at bike shows and visiting churches and would welcome new supporters for their local group.

On a wet weekend in May the Norfolk branch of the Christian Motorcyclists Association were at the huge British Motorcycle Federation Bike show.

They ran a Holy Joes café tent giving away hundreds of cups of coffee, tea, cold drinks and many packets of biscuits. The site was run by Les Jones and many people stopped for a chat and to find out why the bikers wear crosses on their leather jackets.

On June 3 and 4 the Norfolk branch had a very rewarding Sunday afternoon at the Edward the VII pub on Aylsham Road in Norwich at the Trike and Bike show put on by the pub, meeting many local bikers.

The branch has also visited the Norwich Salvation Army Citadel evening service and had a brilliant time of praise and worship. The CMA had three motorbikes in the front of the stage and the Norton was a highlight as that was invented by a Salvationist. The reception by the Salvation Army was excellent and we were so moved by the experience which included an introduction to the CMA, testimonies and a Bible study by Rainbow Mike.

The CMA are looking for prayer people who have a vision for outreach to those who would not normally go anywhere near a church to help us take Jesus to the people.

We meet regularly at Witard Road Baptist church in Norwich on the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm. There are many roles you can play. You do not need to have any thing to do with motorbikes, but a passion for Jesus and filling His church with His people.
