Proms raises cash for Norwich foodbank

mile cross mc food bank cheque
A Proms concert given at Mile Cross Methodist Church on September 10 made £204 for Norwich foodbank.

Handing the cheque of £204 to Hannah Worsley of Norwich foodbank, event organiser and Mile Cross Methodist Church Steward Annie Thompson said, "Mile Cross is committed to helping Norwich foodbank, so for us to be able to raise funds whilst having a great time was something special, especially when we knew it would be saving somebody from going hungry."

"With the help of the Norwich City Concert Band, we all had a fantastic night of music from the shows and traditional Proms bobbing, singing, and flag-waving!"

Hannah Worsley said, "Some of us from Norwich Food Bank went to the event and thoroughly enjoyed all the singing and flag-waving.  We are grateful the Norwich City Concert Band for providing such stirring music, and to Annie and Mile Cross Methodist Church for organising the event, and making such a welcome donation."
