Pioneer Children's Worker job vacancy

ENYP is looking for a creative and energetic Pioneer Children’s Worker to join the team.  He/she will have oversight of Children’s Work/Informal Education and will develop a range of creative, innovative and engaging programmes including work in local schools, after school activities, evening youth clubs and holiday provision.
 



The ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic and will help design and develop our existing activities and programmes, as well as pioneer and create new opportunities, so the ability to have vision and strategy for development is important. 
 
This exciting opportunity will require the successful applicant to have:

  • A mature Christian faith and the ability to share it in a dynamic, culturally relevant way.
  • A heart to develop children and young people, through a holistic approach.
  • Proven relevant experience and qualifications in working with children and young people.
  • Creative ability to develop and deliver engaging programmes, to be innovative and to pioneer new initiatives.
  • A self-starter with initiative and motivation and who can apply themselves to a new challenge.
  • Experience in incarnate and grassroots community work, ideally in challenging/deprived communities.
  • Ability to manage, encourage and develop and lead a group of volunteers and youth workers, and work as part of the ENYP team. 

Post: PIONEER CHILDREN’S WORKER
 
Role starts from January 2017
Hours: Full time
Salary: £18,782 - £23,077 pro rata (depending on experience and qualifications).
 
There is a genuine occupation requirement that the post-holder is a committed Christian in accordance with Employment Equality (Religion & Belief) Regulations 2003.  Due to the nature of this role an Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check is required before a final job offer is made. A criminal record is not necessarily a bar to employment with us.
