Preacher and mentor speaks of his faith

JohnHindmarshWeb2006: Bible teacher, preacher and mentor John Hindmarsh, spoke at the Norwich Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship International chapter lunch at the Maid’s Head Hotel in the city on Thursday August 17, from 1-2pm.

A former Norwich church minister John is back in the city after 18 months in Yorkshire with a new role, combining his established and recognised role as a Bible teacher, preacher and mentor with work as a qualified Will Writer and Estate Planner.

John, together with wife Angie, led Living Word Church in Norwich for over six years, although they had been in Norwich for 10 years prior to that as Directors on the leadership team of Proclaimers International based at Drayton Hall.  They have been in Christian ministry for over 35 years in total.

For the past 18 months, the couple have been involved with the 2,500-strong Abundant Life Church in Bradford, during which time John also trained and then qualified as a professional Will Writer and Estate Planner.

“I am enjoying merging business and my ministry role together,” said John. “I have found that it brings a new and different level of credibility and integrity to the relevance of the Gospel. A lot of people are involved in a portfolio of working roles today and I find that they both help and enhance each other.

“At the age of 55, I am myself facing new possibilities and potential and can now help and advise other people who are in similar situations."

At the lunch John will talk about his work and his faith as part of the regular series of Norwich FGBMFI monthly events held at the Maid’s Head Hotel on Tombland in the centre of Norwich.

The lunches are aimed largely at people who work in the city and are designed to fit in a standard lunch hour with a half-hour meal followed by a 30-minute talk.

The cost to attend the lunch is £6 and all are welcome. To reserve your place contact Robert Ross on 01603 631050 or e-mail robert@positive-selection.com     or  cant.cherrytrees@tesco.net
