PRAYERS ASKED FOR:

for growth in the number of our congregation;
for our spiritual growth;
for developing children's work;
and in thanksgiving for the wonderful work of our sponsors, patrons and builders and all who have been involved in our newly restored church.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OUR CHURCH AND ITS LIFE:
We are a traditional church family within the Anglo/catholic tradition, seeking to offer a warm welcome to all. We have a small choir and an organist who continue to lead our music. Plenty of social activities and outings are held.

Our congregation is drawn from the parish as well as across Norwich and surrounding districts. We are looking to build up the Body of Christ through pastoral care, teaching, nurturing, sharing, giving, supporting and would want everyone to see illustrated in our church the beginnings of the Kingdom.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CAUSES FOR REJOICING:

  • Good ecumenical links and fellowship with the Roman Catholics who use our church.
  • The generous gifts of recent benefactors and grants from English Heritage and Norfolk Churches Trust and other bodies to restore our church to its full glory.
  • the generous gift from Mothers' Union Norwich Diocese to enable us to buy toys for the Little lions group

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OUR STRENGTHS :
High degree of lay involvement and commitment from our readers, servers and congregation;
The support of retired clergy

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OF INTEREST:

St Mark’s (1844), a is a fine Victorian church with a gallery and contains the striking art nouveau Bignold Rood Screen and some fine sculpted stations of the cross.
