YMCA Norfolk hour of prayer group growing
 2006: YMCA Norfolk faith development officer Alexis Lloyd (pictured right) has opened up an invitation to a monthly Hour of Prayer meeting to its supporters, volunteers and staff.
Alexis initiated the monthly Hour of Prayer following a prayer meeting called by John and Barbara Drake in 2005. The aim of this initial meeting was to pray about the need for a new hostel. Board members, staff, volunteers and supporters were invited.
The feeling of the meeting was that it would be good to continue to pray regularly. The “Hour of Prayer” is held on the third Tuesday of the month from 7.30 to 8.30pm. All are welcome. All the groups mentioned above are represented most months.
"We spend the hour praying for needs within YMCA Norfolk and we always have much to thank the Lord for," said Alexis. "God has graciously and wonderfully provided the land and funding to build the new hostel in Norwich city centre."
