New Sheringham church building comes to Life

Life Church in Sheringham are finally moving into their new building for their Easter Sunday morning service, and there will be an opportunity for everyone to have a look round the following Saturday. Tony Rothe reports.

Easter Sunday morning, April 21, in the new centre will start with Easter drinks and cakes served from 9.45am, with the service at 10.30am, and everyone is welcome. There will be special activities and groups for Tots, Kids and Youth.

There will also be an open morning for people to look around and enjoy a coffee and cake on Saturday April 27 from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Kids activities will be available.

Life Church has been meeting in the town for 20 years, and have been meeting at the local primary school. They set up and have been running the YESU project in the High Street, which operates as a community café with a range of activities for kids, youth and adults.

The church acquired the old social club and shop unit on the corner of Holway Road in October 2013, and have worked hard since then to transform it into their new Life Centre, with a 200-seat auditorium and plenty of rooms on both floors for smaller gatherings and for kids and youth work. There will also be a new café.

Team leader Richard Allen said “We have been working towards creating this beautiful facility to serve the needs of the church and the people of this area, and this will now be the permanent home of Life Church in Sheringham. We hope the local community will see it as their home too.”

Life Church belongs to Relational Mission, part of the Newfrontiers family of Churches, committed to seeing lives transformed by the grace of God all over the world. They are also part of the Evangelical Alliance.

The Life Centre is at 42-44 Cromer Rd, Sheringham NR26 8RR.
