Norwich church in 75-hour Bible marathon
 Norwich Central Baptist Church has completed a marathon 75-hour reading of the entire Bible to mark its reopening.
Over 200 churches members, youngsters, people from other churches and even some who walked in off the street joined in the epic challenge.
Organiser Sarah Huckle said: "We has people aged from six to those in their eighties taking part.. It was really nice to have the church open all week.
"Rather than rushing through it we felt it important that people enjoyed and understood what they were reading. It is amazing how many people said that they were really blessed by the passages they read or heard and how God had spoken to them."
The Bible is made up of 66 different books and contains about 800,000 words. From Genesis to Revelations, Norwich Central Baptist Church completed the 75-hour marathon to mark its official re-opening after 12 months of refurbishment work.
The Duke Street church makeover cost around £1 million. During the revamp the church remained open, with events working around the refurbishment.
NCBC, formerly St Mary's, was formed after the Baptist church in Dereham Road and St Mary's merged. The Dereham Road church was sold to finance the refurbishment programme.
Sarah added: “There's been a radical refurbishment inside, both structurally and with the décor. A café bar area has been opened which groups can use, and there's a new lighter colour scheme.”
Other activities during the celebration week include children's events, youth activities, quiz night and art and craft exhibition.

*The Bible was written over a period of 1600 years by more than 40 authors of every sort - kings, poor people, fishermen, poets, government officials, teachers, prophets.
The Bible was written in three languages, on three continents - Asia, Africa, and Europe.
