Light of Peace in Holt school chapel
A unique light installation named 'The Light of Peace' has been set up in Gresham’s School Chapel in Holt to inspire visitors to reflect on, and pray for, peace in our world.
Rev Jack Branford, Gresham’s school chaplain, said “The evocative combination of smoke, music and a vast circular wall of light proved to be very popular with pupils, parents, and staff alike. The stunning work gave visitors the opportunity to pause and reflect on those who are living in places of conflict in our world today. It also encouraged them to pray and strive for a more peaceful future when the light of peace might finally be a reality for all.”
Comments from students included: “The vibes are immaculate” , “It’s so peaceful; I’ve never been so still” and “The installation is truly stunning. It has given me a really important opportunity to reflect on the need for peace and also on my own faith.”
