BishopsHouseGardenBishop's House open garden event

There is a rare opportunity to enjoy the unique and beautiful walled garden at the Bishop of Norwich’s House in aid of Norwich-based homelessness charity St Martins on Sunday May 19.

The garden will be open between 1 and 4.30pm for visitors to enjoy the garden in its Spring splendour. Helen Baldry, Head of Communications at St Martins said, "We have a fantastic afternoon planned with delicious homemade cakes and teas for sale, a children’s treasure trail, tombola, stalls and live music from St Martins' very own music group."

The Head Gardener will be running a plant stall and this is a chance to explore the beautiful gardens whilst supporting a long-established local charity. This is a historic private four acre garden that has belonged to the Bishops of Norwich for over 900 years. The garden comprises long herbaceous borders, roses, a hosta walk, meadow labyrinth, jungle walk, bamboos and extensive shrubberies.

Tickets are £5 per person. Under 16s and wheelchair users are free. All funds raised will support people experiencing homelessness in Norwich.

Gates open from 1:00 pm until 4:30 pm. Last entry is 4:00 pm. Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed onsite.

The address of the garden is Bishop’s House, Norwich NR3 1SB and can be accessed opposite the law courts.
