Churches and Christians helping foster, strengthen and build the community of Norwich was the subject of the latest Churches/City Council Dialogue meeting.
The meeting of church and City Council representatives on January 28 heard ways of building community through good relationships with the City Council’s Community Development Officers, by making the most of the Norfolk Police’s Safer Neighbourhood initiative and by using Norwich Neighbourhood Renewal Funding.
A plan to make details of Norwich church congregations and organizations easily available is also moving forward.
Other topics covered at the meeting included churches’ representation on the City of Norwich Partnership Strategic Board and City of Norwich Partnership Delivery Board, Norwich City Council’s bid for Unitary Status, flu pandemic plans and Community Liaison Information Points.
The next meeting of the Dialogue group will be on Thursday, 26th April, at the Council Chamber at City Hall from 5.15 for 5.30pm to 7.00pm.
