Relaunch to help students explore marriage
A Norfolk Christian group aiming to explore issues around marriage and family relationships with students has relaunched itself with a new name and logo.
Explore is the new name for the former group Students Exploring Marriage and you can find out more about the Christian organisation at an introduction meeting to be held at St Paul's Church, Hellesdon, Norwich on Saturday March 24.
Local spokesman David Goddard said: “Explore is the new operational brand introduced to give what was SEM a new and modern marketable image.”
“The Explore meeting at St Paul’s is to remind the church community what we do - to explore with students issues around marriage and family relationships - and specifically to seek more volunteer couples and supporters. Students often comment that they would like to talk to young couples. It will describe the work of Explore in schools and prisons.
“One lady volunteer said to me: ‘The first time I met students I was scared stiff, but it is so worthwhile - and if I only help one young person it will have been worthwhile.’”
The Introduction to Explore meeting takes place from 9.45am - noon at St Paul's Church, Hellesdon and Steve Carter, headmaster of Archbishop Sancroft High School, Harleston, who has worked with Explore, will be a guest speaker and give his reflections from a school perspective.
