Event gives an insight into Passover
2007: Quiet Waters Christian Retreat House near Bungay, Norfolk, still has a few spaces left at its Passover event from March 28-29.
It offers the opportunity to gain a greater insight into the Passover. On the Wednesday there will receive teaching in the afternoon with Jill Gower on the Seven Feasts of Israel which will culminate in the Passover Seder.
They will go through the Haggadah and the related traditions with teaching on the original Passover, the Jewish Passover and the fulfilment in Jesus, ending with Holy Communion. During the course of the meal they will partake of the ceremonial foods and the meaning of each will be explained, along with the prophetic element pointing towards the Messiah. This Passover will open up many of the Scriptures, bringing the symbolism to life in a profoundly moving way.
The second day will see a visit the world-renowned model of Herod’s Temple built by
Alec Garrard. Alec is a leading authority on Herod’s temple and spent 20 years researching and building this most accurate and detailed model of the Temple which Jesus knew. He has produced the video/DVD “The Temple and The New Testament”.
This chance to see the Temple, and meet Alec will add more to the understanding of the significance of the Passover and the events leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus
Price: £68, to include lunch and meal Wednesday, B&B, excursion to temple and lunch Thursday. Booking £15 deposit to “Quiet Waters” (non- returnable).
