Kairos will be appearing on television on March 30, prior to the final on April 13. The winning band will get to play live alongside the hugely popular international band Delirious (who have achieved top 20 chart success in the UK, and have sold more records than Robbie Williams in the US. The concert will be held on May 5, at Alton Towers.

All four members of the band are active members of Norwich Family Life Church. They are Aaron Pimlott (age 24), Mark Harvey (22), Matthew Buck (23) and Tim Hamilton (36).

Aaron said: “We are excited to have got this far and are confident that we are going to take this opportunity all the way! Kairos is all about writing and recording great music. We are motivated to make a difference, display a positive lifestyle and to show that everyone has a purpose in life.”

Feel concerned that rock music is entering the churches, it is a well known fact that rock music has a direct effect on the brain and has led people even to crime. I don't think that the angels in heaven would sing to a rock band backing.

Yeah rock is bad.
Hair styles mad
God isn't glad
He's just sad.

Kairos loud
Buck is proud
But there's no place
For rock in God's Holy race.

Quote from concerned christian:"Feel concerned that rock music is entering the churches, it is a well known fact that rock music has a direct effect on the brain and has led people even to crime. I don't think that the angels in heaven would sing to a rock band backing."

the studies done on rock music are too generalized, and any negative effect is much more to do with the culture that rock music is trying to promote. Kairos rock music is about God their love of living for Him, hardly a negative culture and perhaps even music we WANT to be effecting brains... especially those who don't know jesus.

how can you say that rock music, even with Christian lyrics, is bad? Sure it may have a bad (and often unfair) reputation, but does that make it wrong to worship God with it? Does God have a personal preference to organ music? Why do you have to be scared that your unfounded views of rock will have an impact on the band? Why cant they do something positive to the rock industry, and impact it instead?

And you boys won! Superb. Take the message out there in that rock and roll style. Keep the dream alive!
