Stay safe is Town Pastors' message at Latitude
For the first time, Town Pastors will be present at the Latitude Festival in Suffolk from 14 - 17 July, offering support, care and refreshments to festival-goers.
Town Pastors
work across Suffolk, primarily in Ipswich, to offer support to vulnerable people out on Friday and Saturday nights.
This is the first time the Christian group have been involved in Latitude and they are excited about the potential impact and presence they will have at the four-day music and arts festival in Henham near Southwold.
The refreshment and prayer tent will be selling tea and coffee for 50p, plus plenty of give-away pens, mugs and key-rings. Town Pastors will be on hand to pray with and chat to people.
"Keep Safe"
is the slogan for Latitude suggested by Suffolk Constabulary, a message reinforced by the Town Pastors who will be handing out ‘drink responsibly’ wrist bands and sweets with ‘stay safe’ wrappers.
Town Pastors will be a Christian influence at the festival and the volunteers are trained to offer support, a listening ear and to help diffuse potentially difficult situations. Town Pastor Latitude Co-ordinator
