Charity crib festival at Norwich church
Rosebery Road Methodist Church in Norwich will be hosting a Crib Festival next month to raise funds for the East Anglia Children's Hospices Nook Appeal.
The festival will be open on December 4, 5, 11, & 12 from 10.30am to 4.30pm, and on Sunday December 6 from 12 noon to 4.30pm.
EACH’s Nook Appeal is this year’s chosen charity, and organisers are hoping for as many people as possible to come along and support it.
“We always try to include something new, and this year we are particularly pleased that some of the children from Angel Road Primary School are making a crib for us. We have only recently been able to establish a link with them, and have already been pleased to welcome them into the church on several occasions throughout the year” said Ursula Franklin, one of the organisers.
Tim Patient will give informal organ recitals on both Saturdays at 11am, and on the evening of December 5 the Norwich Singers are giving a Christmas Concert which is also in aid of EACH.
The culmination of the Festival will be the Christingle service on Sunday December 13. This year the Sprowston Belleplates will be playing from 3.30 pm, leading into the service at 4pm.
Refreshments will be available as usual, and craft stalls for church funds
“We hope to see as many of you as can find time to visit. If you have been before, why not come along again and see if you can spot what is different?” said Ursula.
