The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn has vacancies for people with administrative, IT and communication skills to join their fundraising team as volunteers.



The fundraising office at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn raises money through hospital led campaigns as well as via the community. This is an opportunity to volunteer and gain experience in a professional office using your communication, administration and IT skills to support fundraising events and activities for The Charitable Fund. Variety is part of daily life in the fundraising office!


Fundraising Volunteer - Administrative Assistant


Tasks include:
  • updating spreadsheets and financial information
  • helping project manage the fundraising stalls in the hospital foyer
  • assisting in the preparation of reports
  • drafting posters
  • contacting donors and fundraisers by emails and telephone
  • preparing fundraising certificates
  • logging charitable donations.
You could also be taking part in planning and setting up fundraising events and activities, working on specific projects and presentations and researching fundraising ideas to generate income for the charity.

What are we looking for?

IT - intermediate to advanced: Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet. (Publisher, PowerPoint - desirable)
Literate & numerate
Good manners
Reliable
The role can be broadened for candidates with extra knowledge, skills and aptitudes: Designing posters and creating graphs, leaflets and news items. Helping to do presentations to prospective fundraisers and organisations. Drafting publicity / press material and items for staff publications / website
 

Fundraising Volunteer - Promotion Assistant


Tasks include:
  • researching fundraising ideas and prospective organisations and businesses to generate income
  • interacting with donors and fundraisers face to face, by emails and telephone
  • checking newspapers and organising press cuttings
  • drafting PR and publicity material, press releases and items for staff publications and the website
  • drafting posters
  • taking part in planning and setting up fundraising events and activities
  • working on promotional activities and presentations in the community
  • organising cheque presentations
