Norwich piano recital to aid church organ fund

Versatile Norwich musician Scott Morrison who plays at least seven keyboard and brass instruments, will play a piano recital at St Andrew’s, Eaton on Sunday, November 26 at 3pm in aid of the church’s organ fund.

The St Andrew’s, Eaton organ fund will receive a boost this Sunday, November 26 when talented Norwich musician, Scott Morrison, 27, (pictured) performs a piano recital for the appeal at 3pm.

Scott earned his music degree at Surrey University and teaches music at the prestigious Leys School in Cambridge, which was founded in 1875 on Methodist Church principles.

All are welcome and there will be piano music to please everyone – “it will be ‘lunchtime style’ with perhaps a little jazz thrown into the mix”, say the organisers.

The piano is Scott’s first love and he also sings bass and plays the organ. He plays guitar and brass wind instruments such as the trombone, tuba and euphonium.  He loves a variety of music, ranging from Chopin’s compositions to jazz and  musical theatre.  Friends say “Scott can turn his hand to most things,” when it comes to playing instruments.

This year Scott with St Andrew’s music director Margaret Smith hosted and An Evening of Musicals with a packed audience at the concert hall of St Andrew’s, Eaton.
