Lighthouse chocolates Val 640C

Sheringham church brings good tidings and chocolate!

2017: Lighthouse Community Church in Sheringham has been spreading a bit of Christmas cheer by giving chocolates to businesses and organisations across the town. Tony Rothe reports.

145 boxes of chocolates have been distributed, with larger boxes going to schools and larger organisations and businesses, and a smaller box to each shop.

Lighthouse’s senior pastor Ian Savory took the sweets to the businesses in the town, assisted by youth pastor Peter Skivington and church member Val Kidger, pictured above.

Ian said “This is just another way in which Lighthouse Community Church is engaging with the community – a simple gift to say that we appreciate the contribution they make to our town”.

The chocolates were all donated by church members who have been asked to bring them to church over the last couple of weeks. “That means we involve the whole church in this initiative” explained Ian.

Last Saturday, Pastor Ian also led a small team giving out sausage rolls, mince pies and coffee to workers on Sheringham market.
