Chance to join Norwich Christian football teams

SurreyGirlsFootieTeamWebTwo Norwich Christian football teams, including one which has been trained by an England international player, are looking for new players.

Surrey Chapel Girls Under 15s Football team, based in Trowse, have been playing in the Norfolk Women's and Girls Football League for the past year and are currently looking for new team members for this season. Last season the team featured on national TV in the Level Up programme and was coached by international player Rachel Yankey.

Manager and coach Emma Went said: “We are a very friendly Christian team with a strong focus on fair play, fun and fitness. Last season we won the sporting points trophy. Unfortunately a number of our players now have other commitments so we are looking for girls aged 13 and 14 (under 15 as of 31st August 2006) who are keen to play for a new team.”

If you are interested, please contact Emma via e-mail

Witard Road Baptist Church Football Club play in the Norfolk Christian Football League on Saturday mornings and are looking for a new goalkeeper for their team. Manager Michael Culwick said: “Attitude and commitment is more important than ability. This is a great opportunity to share the Christian faith with teenagers from the Heartsease estate.”

You can contact Michael on 01603 449852 or via e-mail
