Hello! Recently has read in news that re-testing
of Large Hadron Collider will be conducted :(
Me it is terrible :(
The simple answer, Richard, is that God is where He always is, whether it's hurting or not. As a Christian, He lives in you by His Holy Spirit, Who is called the Comforter. He will comfort those He lives inside of.
God is so close, He lives inside us!!
The Holy Spirit will also help when it seems impossible to know how to pray, which can be especially so when things are hard. Romans 8:26,27. "...The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And He Who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will."
God is so close, He searches our hearts!!
God is so close, He is at the end of a groan or a cry of prayer!!
Folk who are hurting have a special place in God's Heart. Psalm 34 is a wonderful Psalm to take on board when it hurts..."The Lord is near to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." "No-one will be condemned who takes refuge in Him."
God is so close, we can take refuge in Him!!
As for the meaning of the times when it hurts, we can fully rest in God and know He is there. Romans 8, again, has many promises for us. "There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, ...who live according to the Spirit...". " We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him...". "In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him Who loved us..."
God is so close, He works in everything to do with our lives!!
Sometimes God disciplines us, and those times seem hard and as though God is not there. We do have an encouragement in Hebrews 12:7-12, though. "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when He disciplines you, because the Lord disciplines those He loves, and He punishes everyone He accepts as a son." We have a loving Heavenly Father, Who always wants the best for our lives, and even His discipline is for our ultimate good!
God is so close, that His love is shown even in discipline!!
I hope the above is helpful in some way, Richard. I have not read the book you mentioned, but have had a lot of personal experience, whilst a Christian, of the "it hurts" stuff!
Regarding the hurt of other people and what goes on in the world in disasters etc, the main reason these things happen is because God has given us all the wonderful gift of free will, and we are living in a "fallen" world.
Even in this, though, as Christians we CAN do something about it. We CAN pray, and see Satan's plans broken. We CAN help and give, and show God's love to those that suffer. WE are God's ambassadors to be near to those who suffer.
In all things, and in all ways, God IS around. He loves more than any of us. How His Heart must break at some of the things He sees. May our hearts be able to break the same way, so we shall be near suffering folk when the "it hurts" stuff happens.

Thank You Judy for your comments i find them very comforting. In my own circumstances i have survived both bladder cancer and bowel cancer through my own prayers and that of friends and the church, i pray that all people will put their trust in god for all their needs.
I very much love summer :)
Someone very much loves winter :(
I Wish to know whom more :)
For what you love winter?
For what you love summer? Let's argue :)
You are suffering from a lack of light.
You could turn to the God of light who is light.
Or you could get a light box available via the internet.
Or you could do both.
Then you will feel better.

Thank you for this topic. For me I believe that God is always there even when people are suffering. The suffering is a result of evil that came when Eve ate the forbidden fruit. Through prayers, God tends to hear us and lessen or even completely heal the pain. An author at
explains that no matter what, one should not assume that God is not watching because even if the suffering is brought by the evil one, God is always the one in control.
