SoulChurchMiracleCFThe congregation at Soul church in Norwich reached into their pockets and donated a staggering £76,000 to be used for good causes locally and abroad.

Regular attenders at Soul Church came prepared to give at the ‘Heart for the House' miracle offering service on November 12. In the weeks leading up to the service, information about various causes the church supports was given, allowing people to prayerfully consider how much they could donate.

The figure raised at the service was £75,349, with donations coming in afterwards totalling over £76,000. Jon Norman, Senior Pastor said, “It was overwhelming... we were just blown away by what God did for his church. Everyone sacrificially gave at different levels. It was amazing. It was a day we will never forget."

The money will go to four global initiatives: Muazzam John, who founded the Nehemiah Trust in Pakistan working with orphans, widows and flood victims. The Philippine Outreach Centre, helping people in prisons and their children. Biju Thampy, the founder of Vision Rescue, working with street kids in Mumbai, India and Tembaletu in Capetown, partnering with a Hillsong church in South Africa.

The local activities the money will fund are Love in Action – a new initiative working with homeless people in Norwich. The project starts on December 22 and Soul Church will work alongside the Salvation Army providing sleeping bags and blankets to people in need.

The church is also building a new kids and youth facility in an area of their warehouse currently used for storage. The finished facility will have capacity for 500 people.
