Norwich Book fair supports literacy charity


For the 45th year, Feed the Minds book fair at St Andrew’s Church in Norwich supports education and training for marginalised people across the world.

FeedtheMinds2015publicity 1The fair will be opened by the Lord Mayor of Norwich, councillor Brenda Arthur and the Sheriff of Norwich, Mrs Beryl Blower on Wednesday June 10, 2015 and is open Thursday 11 and Friday 12 from 10am to 5pm every day and Saturday June 13, 2015 from 9am to 1pm.

Feed the Minds work across the globe to bring practical education and training to address the real-life situations that are central to all their projects.  Their projects fall into five key categories, including health education, livelihoods, civic education, peace building and practical theological education.

Currently serving over 100,000 people across 15 countries, Feed the Minds is making a difference to many thousands more through their philosophy of training key people who can then improve their families health, income and future.

The money raised at this years’ book fair in Norwich will support literacy projects in India.

More details on Feed the Minds is available on their web site www.feedtheminds.org and the organisers of the book fair are looking book donations that can be brought to Jarrolds warehouse, Bessemer Road, between 10am and noon and 2pm and 4pm any weekday until Tuesday June 2, 2015, and for willing helpers to come along from Monday June 8, 2015 to set up the fair, sort books and more.
