Peter tells of a transformed life in Norwich
Peter Hunt, a senior civil engineer, whose life was ‘totally transformed through faith in Jesus Christ’, was the guest speaker at an FGB fellowship Dinner Evening at the Best Western Brook Hotel, Bowthorpe NR5 9JB on Friday, April 8.
Peter shared some of his ‘amazing experiences of answered prayer’ since he discovered ‘an exciting, living faith’ at university. It happened after his girlfriend, Kathleen (and wife-to-be) persuaded him to attend a Catholic ‘Day of Renewal.’
Born in Yorkshire, Peter is researching the unusual story of his relative John Clynes, a former UK Home Secretary and a champion of prison reform, who died in 1949. John Clynes was also Leader of the Labour Party in 1920.
Peter has long been a prominent leader in the north-west region of FGB, the national businessmens’ Christian fellowship. Peter and Kathleen live in Northwich and have six grown-up children.
This dinner event is one of a series of monthly inspirational evenings arranged by the Norwich Chapter of the Full Gospel Businessmen, (FGB), part of a worldwide fellowship in more than 130 nations. FGB is endorsed by the Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, who says: “We need more men like them.”
