Keith’s on his bike to raise funds for YMCA Norfolk

YMCA Norfolk supporter Keith Morris has cycled 40 miles across the Norfolk Broads to raise cash towards the Christian charity’s Challenge 160 appeal to mark its 160th anniversary.

Keith, who is also publisher of the Network Norfolk website, took part in the popular Tour De Broads cycle event on Sunday August 21 with friends, neighbours and fellow members of Norwich Vineyard church.

He raised over £200 towards the Challenge 160 appeal which aims to find 160 people who will raise funds towards the charity’s important work with young people across Norfolk.

Keith said: “I completed the 40 miles in just under three hours and it was a really enjoyable ride, apart from some strong cross-winds, especially in the last three miles.

“I have written dozens of stories about the vital role of YMCA Norfolk over the years and so I know what fantastic work its does and I wanted to play a small part in helping that success continue for another 160 years.”

So far 22 YMCA Norfolk supporters have done skydives, cycle rides, hikes, treks and marathons to raise Challenge 160 funds and more events are planned.
