On Friday, January 27 Malcolm Fisher collected his MBE from Buckingham Palace from HRH The Prince of Wales, for services to heritage to Norfolk’s churches through the Norfolk Churches Trust. Malcolm Fisher, 76, who lives in Laxfield, Suffolk, was the Company Secretary of the Norfolk Churches Trust for almost 19 years until his retirement in 2014. About the presentation Mr Fisher told Rebecca Murphy from the EDP: “It was one of the proudest moments of my life. It was a very pleasant experience. It was nice to get it from Prince Charles, as he is the patron of the trust.” The Norfolk Churches Trust was founded in 1976 with the aim of preserving Norfolk’s historic legacy of medieval churches through financial aid and advice.
