7000 young Christians head for Norfolk Showground
Up to 7000 young people from across Europe are heading to the Royal Norfolk Showground this week to attend the Newday Christian Festival.
Teenagers and those in their early 20s will gather at the annual event from churches up and down the UK and Europe to “learn about and worship God, camp out together, soak in the summer festival feeling, leaving Newday further along in their relationship with Jesus.”
Initially formed to serve the Newfrontiers network of churches the event now attracts groups from all denominations and backgrounds, whether from the inner city or rural settings the festival has an incredible diverse flavour.
Speakers will include American author and preacher Francis Chan.
Delegates will also have the chance to take part in outreach projects taking the story of Jesus onto the street of Norfolk.
Newday 2017 takes place from Monday 31 July - Saturday 5 August at the Showground at Easton near Norwich.
Day tickets are still available at £30 a day (£20 a half day).
