Local speaker for North Norfolk worship meeting
The guest speaker at the April meeting of the North Norfolk Filling Station will be norfolk worship leader and speaker Stephen Pitkethly.
Stephen is a worship leader and speaker who has been ministering in Norfolk since the 1980s. Starting at All Saints, Mattishall, he led the Worship Band for many years. During this time he was encouraged to develop a leadership and teaching ministry within the church.
In 2004 Stephen moved to the Briningham Benefice in North Norfolk. There, he helped establish and lead, a contemporary worship service as well as introduce mid-week small group meetings based on the cell/life group pattern. Stephen was also one of the founding team members of the North Norfolk Filling Station and led worship from 2012 to 2016, passing on the role to his former Mattishall colleague, Noel Alexander.
Now at St Catherine’s, Ludham, Stephen is once again developing and leading a contemporary style worship service and is an active member of the Ministry Team. He is also actively involved with the support team for the Broads Filling Station.
The Filling Station, which was born out of the Church of England in the West Country, has grown exponentially in terms of venues opening all over the United Kingdom and continues to serve and refresh both Church leaders, congregations and more importantly to open the eyes of those who are seeking answers to the meaning of life through the Christian faith. The Filling Station is helping to bring unity amongst believers from across the whole Church spectrum.
Everyone is welcome on Monday April 23 to an evening of fellowship and wonderful worship followed by the main talk, which will be entitled Jesus is coming back! There will also be a time for prayer ministry at the end of the evening. Coffee and cakes will be available from 7pm, with the main meeting starting at 7.30pm.
The venue is Swanton Novers Village Hall, St Giles Road, Swanton Novers, Melton Constable, NR24 2RB.
