Norfolk charity holds training on baby loss
Baby loss charity Time Norfolk held a training day today (October 8) for over 60 health professionals and funeral directors to come and learn about baby loss and share best practice.
The day was described as ‘amazing’ and ‘emotional’ and featured speakers including Bob and Tracy from 4Louis, Anne from Rosedale Funeral Home and Kari Kordtomeikel the bereavement midwife at NNUH.
One of the highlights of the day was hearing from two very courageous past clients of TimeNorfolk. These two ladies shared in an incredibly honest way their story of baby loss to a room of professionals who truly cared.
Head of Operations Lesley Bradfield said, “It was a very special moment and we really hope that this day will make a real difference to the care that bereaved parents receive around Norfolk. Thank you to everybody who helped to make this day happen - including a team of amazing behind the scenes volunteers!”
Baby loss awareness week runs from October 9 – 15 to raise awareness about the key issues affecting those who have experienced pregnancy loss or baby death in the UK.
Throughout the week bereaved parents, their families and friends, unite with each other and others across the world to commemorate the lives of babies who died during pregnancy, at or soon after birth and in infancy.
