Newday Christian festival launches radio station

NewdayRadioOver 6,000 excited young people arrived at the Royal Norfolk Showground near Norwich on Monday, (August 13) for Newday, the Christian youth festival and this year Newday is running its own on-site radio station, which can also be heard across Norwich on 87.7 fm.
Newday Radio is a peer-led project, with programmes hosted by the delegates themselves, giving these 12-19 year olds the opportunity to hone their skills in writing for and presenting on radio. Listen in to find out what’s happening on site every day.

From Tuesday to Saturday, hundreds of the young people will be setting off on coaches around the region to team up with the locally-based ‘This is Life’ projects.

Each year, many of the young people report that serving on these projects - from garden clearance to car washing, and fence painting to kids clubs are the highlight of their week.

Including interviews, great features, competitions, up-and-coming artists and the very best of the latest Christian music, Newday Radio is your window on the whole event. Tune in on 87.7 fm.

Newday 2012 will take place from August 13 to 19. Day tickets are available at the gate, find out more information from www.newdaygeneration.org
