Norfolk congregations are getting together by the coach-load to take part in the National Day of Prayer and Worship
at Wembley Stadium
on Saturday 29 September
Call to Prayer
are coordinating travel to the event which will feature high profile worship leaders including Tim Hughes, Matt Redman, Graham Kendrick
Jill Gower, Director of Call to Prayer
, said: “The response to this call to the people of God to get to Wembley, for what will undoubtedly be an historic occasion in our history, is extremely encouraging.
“However Wembley Stadium is a vast place to fill, and if you haven't already booked we would urge you to do so. And spread the word far and wide to friends in other parts of the country.”
The congregation of Oak Grove Chapel
decided to book a coach and within a few weeks the coach was full.
Ian Savory, Pastor of Oak Grove Chapel
said, “For Oak Grove Chapel going to the National Day of Prayer at Wembley is an amazing chance to get a bigger vision, hear what God is doing, inspire our children with the ‘we were there’ stories and get a fresh anointing because without His presence we can achieve nothing."
There are still some spaces in coaches organised by Call to Prayer picking up in Norwich and Thetford
and along the coast for the Great Yarmouth
areas, with time enough to book more coaches.
The organisers of the National Day of Prayer and Worship say: “Wembley 2012 is likely to be the single biggest mobilisation of Christians for Prayer for a generation and will engage and involve one of the widest know collaboration of denominations, prayer networks, local Christian groups and media organisations in years.”
The Norfolk coaches will begin their journey at 10am
with various pick up stops around the county and return at around 10pm
The cost per person including travel is £26. Contact Annabel at email@example.com for full details and booking information.
