Lynn Churches Together launch joint youth club

KLYPOn Saturday March 16 King’s Lynn Churches Together will launch a joint youth club for children in year 5 and above, pooling leadership capacity and generating increased momentum amongst the younger youth.

The KLYP joint youth club for children in year 5 and above will launch this Saturday March 16, 6.30-8pm at the 12th King’s Lynn Scout Hut on Beulah Street.  The free club, which is open to all and will run weekly during term time, will include games, table tennis, tuck and learning about Jesus.

KLYP is being led by youth leaders from various churches in Lynn and will use material published by Rev Corin Child, Vicar of St John's Church and the Moderator of Churches Together in King’s Lynn.

Andy Moyle, Pastor of the Gateway Church, who has championed the formation of the new club said: “Corin Child from St John's and I have been working on setting up a joint youth club for churches in and around King's Lynn. The aim is to pool leadership resource to put on a good sized younger youth club as a Saturday outreach and then the young people will continue to be or become rooted into their own local churches.”

The launch follows a gathering of interested leaders and helpers from churches around Kings Lynn that met in February to hear the vision, ask questions and pray.
