Heacham Praise Party success

Heacham fun morning 380 ARSeventy-one children plus carers enjoyed the 4th Easter Fun Morning hosted by St Mary’s church in Heacham, which featured children’s ministry leader, John Hardwick, who presented the gospel story in his own unique style. Tony Rothe reports.

Supported (or possibly hindered!) by the efforts of Charlie Monkey, (pictured below), John charmed both children and adults with a series of sketches which included  juggling, stories, a quiz and songs from the GenR8 repertoire, all presented with pace, energy and a huge slice of fun.

“It is absolutely true to say that the gospel came alive to all who listened and enjoyed the event” said organiser Brian Griffin.

Heacham Hardwick 224 ARJohn Hardwick is a juggler, singer, song writer, exciting interactive story teller, and puppeteer.
He describes himself as a Creative Christian Communicator, whose aim is to present the Christian faith in an exciting and relevant way. John travels widely and is available for leading primary school tours,  family praise parties/concerts, creative communications training sessions, RE Days in primary schools, all-age celebrations, and holiday clubs.

They were also privileged to be joined by Jonathan Meyrick, Bishop of Lynn for part of the morning. The bishop gave God’s blessing and assisted in distributing presents to the children, as well as acquiring an extension to his staff!  Bishop Jonathan has now produced a fundraising CD, to be released during May, to benefit the Norfolk Tapping House hospice, following his surprise appearance on stage at last summer’s Festival Too with his rendition of Wild Thing.
