Libby to run Norwich Christian creative arts

Talented singer and songwriter Libby Redman has moved from York to take on the role of Creative Arts Youth Worker for a Norwich Christian charity.

Norwich Youth For Christ (NYFC) have appointed Libby Redman to join their team in their mission to reach out with the good news of Jesus to young people in Norwich.

Her work will involve leading the already highly successful youth choir and develop further creative arts projects to enable young people to grow their own gifts and potential.

Libby said, "I am privileged to join the team here, who have been doing great things over the years! The arts is an incredibly powerful tool for sharing the love of God, and so as someone who is passionate about Jesus, I am really excited about developing the NYFC arts programme with the team."

Before her move to Norwich to take on the role, Libby was Musical and Creative Director for 10 years at the Ark Church in York. She has directed musical projects for various groups including One Voice York, a network of churches from across the city.

Libby's first degree is in Theology. Passionate about the power of music in bringing people together, Libby was inspired to study an MA in Community Music. She graduated earlier this year and released her debut album, Where Love Begins, followed by an evangelistic tour.

Libby said, "I’m really looking forward to getting to know the people here, and pray that God will work through me! With gratitude for God’s faithfulness on the journey of life, I have no concrete plans for my future other than to seek God’s will and His kingdom come!"

NYFC are currently looking for musicians to accompany the gospel choir. If you’d like to accompany the choir, or if you’re interested in finding out how you can get involved with the NYFC arts programme, please contact Libby at or on 01603 620678.

Do you appreciate our service and stories?

The Network Norwich & Norfolk website has been published for over 13 years now and we have an established team of professional journalists covering the activities, organisations and churches which make up the county’s Christian community. Our whole purpose is to support that community by daily providing accurate, unbiased stories and features.

To pay for that service, we rely on our partner organisations, advertisers and readers to, in turn, support us financially. We want to keep the website free for everyone to access and continue to be able to pay for writers to produce the content you can enjoy every day.

We would like to ask you to consider supporting our work and suggest you might want to make a small regular donation of just £1 a week and become one of our 100 Friends, or a larger one-off or annual amount.

Because we are part of a registered charity we can reclaim Gift Aid on your donations if you are a tax-payer.
