Handful of women to be ordained in Norfolk

BishopGrahamGardenA handful of women candidates are set to be ordained by the Bishops of Norwich, Thetford and Lynn on Saturday 28 and Sunday September 29.


Candidates for the Diaconate, to be ordained by the Bishop of Norwich (pictured right) at Norwich Cathedral at 11am on September 28 are: Alison Ball, NDMC, to serve in the Chet Valley Benefice; Maggie Barnes, NDMC, to serve at Oulton Broad St Mark with St Luke; and Caryll Brown, NDMC, to serve at East Harling with West Harling, Bridgham with Roudham, Larling, Brettenham and Rushford

Candidate for the Priesthood, to be ordained by the Bishop of Thetford in St Andrew’Church, Scole at 10.30 am on Sunday September 29 is Sue Auckland, serving at Scole with Thorpe Parva, Billingford, Brockdish and Thorpe Abbots, Redenhall with Harleston, Wortwell and Needham.

Candidate for the Priesthood, to be ordained by the Bishop of Lynn in St Peter & St Paul’s Church, Cromer at 10.30am on September 29 is Jennie Hodgkinson, serving at Cromer.
