Norfolk churches sponsored bike and walk
The Norfolk Churches Trust bike ride returns once again and you can bike, walk or drive to raise money to help preserve some beautiful Norfolk churches.
Pump up your tyres, dust off your walking boots, pack a picnic and plan your route to visit as many of Norfolk's beautiful churches as you can and raise money en route to help The Norfolk Churches Trust.
On Saturday September 12 lots of church buildings will be open for everyone to explore. Bike, walk, ride or drive around the beautiful Norfolk landscape, stopping off at as many churches and chapels as you can along the way.
The event organised by Norfolk Churches Trust has something for everyone, so come and join this fun day out. Get sponsored for your visits or simply make a donation though The Norfolk Churches Trust to a nominated church, chapel or directly to the Trust. All the money raised helps to preserve the many ancient and important Norfolk church buildings for future generations to enjoy.
Over the past 31 years the annual bike ride organised by The Norfolk Churches Trust has raised around £2.7M and last year the bike ride raised more than £103,500 to help continue to preserve Norfolk Churches for future generations.
The money will be divided between the church of the participant’s choice and The Norfolk Churches Trust, which gives grants to hundreds of churches for repairs, renovation and the conservation of their buildings.
The Norfolk Churches Trust website is full of lots of useful information for the ride, including downloadable resources, posters, sponsor forms, activity sheets and much more - visit: norfolkchurchestrust.org.uk/sponsored-bike-ride
